World Setting & Story Premise
The techno-medieval fortress world of Argent D’Nur, celestial Maykr citadels, and the primordial plains of Hell prior to the Slayer’s entombment in the Kadingir Sanctum sarcophagus.
Before he was sealed inside the cursed sarcophagus recovered by the UAC on Mars in DOOM (2016), the Doom Slayer fought beside the Night Sentinels of Argent D’Nur against the unholy armies of Hell. Empowered by the Divinity Machine yet bound as a tactical superweapon by the Maykrs and Sentinel kings, the Slayer wages a brutal war with the Shield Saw, medieval flail, skull-crushing firearms, a cybernetic dragon mount, and a skyscraper-sized Atlan mech.
