World Setting & Story Premise
A Belle Époque inspired fantasy world dominated by the monolithic Paintress, filled with crumbling French architecture, submerged cathedrals, and surreal flora.
The world is doomed by the Paintress, who once a year paints a descending number onto her monolith. Tomorrow, she will paint "33", turning every 33-year-old on Earth to smoke and ash. Gustave and his companion expeditioners march on a final desperate crusade to reach the Paintress and break the cycle before their lives expire.
