1. Tactical Monster Climbing & Weakspot Physics
Colossal beasts like Griffins, Cyclopes, and Drakes feature specific anatomical weakpoints. Running up a monster’s leg and clinging to its fur consumes continuous stamina. To conserve energy, climb during the monster’s wind-up animations, stand upright on flat surfaces (like a beast’s broad shoulders) without holding the grab button to let stamina regenerate, and unleash heavy thrusts directly into their skull or glowing heart.
2. Pawn Behavioral Inclinations & Team Synergy
Your Pawns’ behavior is governed by their Inclination: Kindhearted (prioritizes healing and player defense), Calm (patient positioning and tactical spellcasting), Simple (scavenges resources and uses environmental items), and Straightforward (aggressive frontline melee pressure). An optimal squad pairs a Straightforward Fighter/Warrior tank, a Kindhearted Mage for continuous healing and stamina boons, and a Calm Sorcerer or Archer for high-ground artillery.
3. Identifying and Purging the Dragonsplague
Dragonsplague is a contagious condition contracted by Pawns who battle Drakes or travel through the Rift. Infected Pawns will begin defying direct orders, spitting arrogant dialogue, and displaying pulsating crimson glowing eyes at night. If an infected Pawn sleeps at an inn, they transform into a shadowy wyrm and slaughter the entire town’s populace.
4. Nighttime Survival & Camping Economics
When darkness falls, visibility drops to zero and phantoms, skeleton hordes, and minotaurs emerge in force. Always carry at least one Camping Kit in your inventory. Resting at wilderness campfires restores the grey "Loss Gauge" on your maximum health bar and allows you to cook monster meat for substantial party stat buffs.
